Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026

Fontasize was built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers. We don't sell data, because we don't gather any to sell.
This policy explains the three places data does move, so you can judge for yourself rather than take our word for it.

What stays on your device
Your search history and font log — the URLs you've looked up, the fonts found there, and the dates — are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to us, and we cannot see them.
- Logs clear themselves automatically after 90 days.
- You can remove individual entries from the search suggestions at any time from the search field.
- Deleting the app deletes this data with it.

Fontasize does not use iCloud sync, so none of this reaches Apple's servers either.

What leaves your device
Font names, to identify the foundry. When Fontasize can't identify a typeface from the catalogues built into the app, it asks our lookup service — for example, Söhne — and gets back the foundry that made it.

What we deliberately do not send
- the URL you searched
- any account, device or advertising identifier
- anything that identifies you

The font name travels on its own, with nothing attached to link it to a person or a session.

Our lookup service runs on Vercel. Like almost all web hosting, their servers keep standard request logs, which include the IP address the request came from and the time it arrived. We don't use these logs to build any profile of you, and we don't combine them with anything else. See Vercel's privacy policy for how they handle infrastructure logs.

The websites you look up. To identify fonts accurately, Fontasize loads the page you paste into an embedded browser view and reads what the page actually renders. This means the site is visited from your device, exactly as if you had opened it in Safari:
- that website can see your IP address
- it may set cookies and run its own scripts
- its own privacy policy applies to that visit, not ours

We don't see, record, or transmit anything about that visit. It happens between your device and that website.

What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- No advertising networks or ad identifiers
- No tracking across apps or websites
- No selling or sharing of personal data
- No profiles built about you

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the change is listed below. Material changes to what data leaves your device will be described plainly rather than buried.
